While AI is transforming industries at a breakneck pace, many firms are still running on spreadsheets, sticky notes, blood, sweat and tears.

So Alexis Kingsbury decided to make a point. He built an accountancy firm staffed entirely by AI in September 2025 in just a few days. 

​

Not “AI-assisted,” not “partly automated” — but 100% artificial colleagues with job titles, responsibilities, headshots, and even personalities.

Behind the parody, each AI runs on best practice SOPs, workflows, and automations used by modern accountancy firms today.

These processes are based on the Accountancy Practice Playbooks that Alexis developed in collaboration with 100+ accountancy leaders.

By creating this parody practice, we wanted to show what’s possible, start important conversations, and help firms imagine a future where humans do less firefighting and more of the work that really matters: advising clients, solving problems, and building relationships.
